Sometimes, less is more when it comes to sharing our struggles. When we keep the challenges and bumps of life to ourselves, we often save others from emotional depletion. Sharing every hurdle of our lives might seem like a way to lighten our own load, but in reality, it can also drain the energy of those we share it with.
Over the years, I’ve learned to handle many of my challenges internally. I choose to process them consciously and safely, rather than spreading the weight to others. While many people find it difficult to bear their struggles alone and feel the need to share them, I’ve realized that shouldering them myself allows me to grow stronger and more self-aware. This approach isn’t for everyone, but it has worked wonders for me.
Let’s imagine a scenario: You have 10 friends, and every time something goes wrong in your life, you share all the details with them. In essence, each of you ends up carrying a piece of that burden. Now, think of the alternative—what if you faced those challenges on your own, with intentionality and awareness? Not only do you save your friends from unnecessary stress, but you also cultivate resilience and growth within yourself.
The secret to this mindset lies in observing your challenges as though they were objects. By stepping back and viewing life’s struggles as things that simply happen, you begin to detach from the emotional weight they carry. This level of awareness requires daily growth and self-reflection, which can be achieved by either nurturing your own inner strength or seeking guidance from a mentor.
For the past six years, I’ve been intentionally working on personal growth. Through reading books, listening to podcasts, and surrounding myself with wisdom, I’ve transformed the way I see life. Some incredible individuals who have influenced my journey include Jay Shetty, Robin Sharma, Pravrajika Divyanandaprana, Dang Nghiem, and Tara Brach. These are people who live intentionally every day and have so much to impart. Choosing to follow just one of their teachings can change your life profoundly, offering you peace of mind and clarity in how you perceive yourself and the world.
Growth, I believe, is the cornerstone of a fulfilled life. Many people go through their days stuck in patterns of negativity—judging others, focusing on unimportant things, and failing to see the bigger picture. Conscious living, on the other hand, teaches us to approach life with intentionality, observe challenges without judgment, and focus on what truly matters.
I’ve shared many resources on my website that have made a significant impact on my life. These tools and teachings are there for anyone seeking a shift in perspective and a deeper understanding of life. As you step into 2025, I encourage you to embrace growth intentionally, absorb wisdom from those who inspire you, and cultivate the awareness needed to live fully and consciously.
